The statistics are heartbreaking. According to a 2021 study conducted with Irish parents, children’s lost toys generate almost 500 tonnes of plastic waste per year in Ireland, the equivalent of over 30 million plastic bottles ending up in landfill.

Soft toys is one of the four major groups of toys ending up in Irish landfill. Like all other toys, soft toys contain high proportions of unsustainable materials, including plastic.

These tonnes of waste aren't just numbers; they represent countless cherished companions who have more grá to give.

Our process: The ‘Teddy Spa’ experience

Every soft toy that comes through our doors gets the five-star treatment it deserves:

1. Donation Collection
We accept pre-loved teddy bears and soft toys from families across Ireland. Whether they've been outgrown, found in attics or simply need new homes. We welcome them all.

2. The Teddy Spa
Each toy is carefully assessed, then lovingly cleaned and restored using gentle, eco-friendly methods. We repair torn seams, refresh worn fur, and bring back the charm that made these toys special in the first place.

3. Sustainable Repackaging
Once refreshed, every toy is repackaged using 100% recycled and environmentally-friendly materials. No plastics, no wasteful packaging; just simple, sustainable presentation that honours both the toy and our planet.

4. Ready for New Adventures
Clean, restored, and beautifully presented, our bears are ready to bring joy to their next family.
